A realização, em Portugal, neste ano de dois mil e dezanove, da Conferência Europa África 2019 do Rito de York - reunião administrativa, onde participam o General Grand Council of Cryptic Masons International, o General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons International e o Grand Encampment of Knights Templar of the United States of America, assim como os Grandes Conselhos europeus e africanos dos três corpos rituais, Grandes Conselhos, Grandes Capítulos e Grandes Comendas -, no primeiro fim de semana de março, levou a que a data da Convenção Anual de Portugal do Rito de York para o ano de dois mil e dezanove fosse também alterada, do tradicional segundo fim de semana de março, para o primeiro fim de semana do mês de março. Não faria sentido realizar a Convenção Anual de Portugal do Rito de York, no segundo fim de semana de março, data habitual da Convenção Anual de Portugal do Rito de York e a Conferência Europa África 2019 do Rito de York, no primeiro fim de semana de março, pensamos que seria uma sobrecarga para todos os Companheiros, além do redobrado esforço financeiro necessário para a realização dos dois eventos. Deste modo, optou-se por realizar a Convenção Anual de Portugal do Rito de York, no dia 2 de março, depois da Conferência Europa África 2019 do Rito de York - 28 de fevereiro - 1 de março -, motivo pelo qual, a XXI Assembleia Anual do Grande Conselho de Mestres Reais e Escolhidos de Portugal terá lugar este ano de 2019, em Lisboa, no dia 2 de março, às 13.30.
O hotel escolhido para a realização dos eventos foi o Altis Grand Hotel, bem no centro do coração da cidade de Lisboa. “Trabalhámos nas pedreiras” por muitas horas de modo a garantir a todos os Companheiros uma melhor experiência, melhores refeições e um hotel cinco estrelas.
O Grande Conselho de Mestres Reais e Escolhidos de Portugal, o Supremo Grande Capitulo de Maçons do Arco Real de Portugal e a Grande Comenda de Cavaleiros Templários conseguiram as melhores tarifas possíveis relativamente às refeições e ao alojamento - quarto single, com pequeno almoço, 120 € ; quarto duplo, pequeno-almoço incluído, 140 € - contudo todas as reservas relativamente ao alojamento durante o período em questão - 28 fevereiro - 4 de março - deverão ser efectuadas até ao próximo dia 10 de fevereiro, utilizando para isso, o código de grupo, yorkriteportugal2019.
O Altis Grand Hotel está localizado na Rua Castilho, 11, em Lisboa, e fica a apenas 20 minutos do Aeroporto Internacional de Lisboa. Há amplo estacionamento pago a apenas 50 metros do hotel, e transporte, de e para o aeroporto, disponível quer seja através de transporte público, táxi ou Uber.
Um grande esforço foi efectuado este ano para fornecer a todos os Companheiros uma melhor experiência do que é a Grande Convenção Anual de Portugal do Rito de York. Neste sentido, pedimos a todos os Companheiros que façam o seu Registo o mais depressa possível.
Para todos os Companheiros e Senhores Cavaleiros, assim como para as senhoras, existem duas actividades planeadas. Na quinta-feira, 28 de fevereiro, acontece um jantar com um espectáculo de fado no restaurante, A Severa. Inaugurada em 1955, A Severa é a casa de fado mais antiga de Lisboa, que permanece na mesma família desde a sua abertura. Está localizado num dos bairros mais antigos e emblemáticos da cidade, o Bairro Alto, onde desde sempre existiu uma grande tradição de jantar e arte, combinando estes dois factores o restaurante convida-o a experimentar e a testemunhar as nossas tradições e a viver e passar uma noite agradável ao gosto da gastronomia tradicional portuguesa famosa pela qualidade dos seus produtos na companhia da música que vai na alma dos portugueses: o FADO.
No dia 3 de Março acontece um passeio pela cidade de Évora, a cidade histórica situada bem no coração do Alentejo, herdeira de um património cultural rico e diversificado, construído e preservado ao longo do tempo. Fundada (ou refundada) pelos romanos e por eles denominada Ebora Liberalitas Iulia, a cidade foi a fortaleza que consolidou no Além-Tejo a formação do novo reino de Portugal, durante a reconquista peninsular cristã do século XII.

The Portugal 2019 York Rite Annual Joint Meeting takes place this year on the first weekend of March. The achievement in Portugal of the Europe África 2019 Conference of York Rite on the first weekend of march led that it did not make any sense to hold the Portugal 2019 Annual Joint Meeting of York Rite on the second weekend of march and Europe África 2019 Conference of York Rite on the first weekend of March. It would be, certainly, an overhead for all the Companions, in addition of the redoubled financial effort required for the two events. In this sense, it was decided to hold the Portugal 2019 Annual Joint Meeting of York Rite, on March 2nd, and because of that, this year, of 2019, the 21st Annual Assembly of the Grand Council of Royal and Select Masters of Portugal takes place in Lisbon, on March 2nd, at 13.30.

A great effort was made this year to provide all Companions a better experience of what is the Portugal York Rite Annual Joint Meeting. In this regard, we ask to all the Companions to make their registration as soon as possible.
There are two special activities for all the Companions and Sir Knights, ladies welcome, planned. On Thursday, february 28th, will have a dinner with a Fado in the restaurant, A Severa. Inaugurated in 1955, A Severa, is Lisbon's oldest Fado House, which remains in the same family. It is located in one of the oldest and most emblematic districts of the city, Bairro Alto, where for centuries there has always been a great tradition of dinning and the art, combining these two factors the restaurant invites the guests to experience and witness our traditions live and to spend a cozy evening to the taste of traditional Portuguese gastronomy famous for the quality of its products in the company of the song that goes in the soul of the Portuguese: FADO.
On March 3, a tour of the city of Évora takes place, the historic city located in the heart of the Alentejo, inherited from a rich and diverse cultural heritage, built and preserved over time. Founded (or refounded) by the Romans and known by them as Ebora Liberalitas Iulia, the city was the fortress that consolidated the formation of the new kingdom of Portugal during the reconquest of the 12th century Christian Peninsula.
